It's called a garter belt/suspender belt because it goes around the waist or hips - it will never hold up pants or anything similar. It is only for holding up stockings of various sorts and looking sexy.

These are the ones I have: not nearly as sexy.

Has anyone ever found a pair of stocking with that sort of sticky rubber on the inside that actually works and holds them up?
