I wonder
Redball:
--- Quote from: Bluesummers on 01 Nov 2012, 20:17 ---I think swimming in mercury, toxic effects aside, would be really fun. It's so dense that you'd float like a silver duck.
--- End quote ---
You might not have as much control as you'd need unless you're on your back. On your front, you'd need your arms to keep your face above the surface. They'd tend to sink. Could you "paddle" in such a dense medium? Surely someone's thought this through.
Bluesummers:
Underwriter's Laboratories has nifty tests, like machines that open and close refridgerator doors constantly for years, just to see how long it takes before they fall off. I'm sure they can design a suit for one of their lab techs to wear while doing the backstroke in a pool of mercury.
Gnomes2169:
--- Quote from: Patrick on 02 Nov 2012, 01:49 ---I wonder what life is like for a person who does not feel awkwardness anywhere near the level I do. I feel awkward over the tiniest little things. It's rare when I feel completely in control, and when I do I always awkwardly second-guess myself the following day. Idunno. Self-assured people are the object of my envy.
--- End quote ---
It's really not all it's hyped up to be. You make mistakes much more often than a person who is a bit more cautious/ awkward and some of the people that are more "Attracted" to your confidence you just want to punch in the face... but you can't do that because it's illegal unless you somehow get them to swing first. >.>
Carl-E:
...which you never will, because they're followers.
Patrick:
The chorus of this song seemed relevant for some reason
