Mafia sign up thread

To be fair, you DID vote for Patrick first. Then you changed it to that bugger idontunderstand. Then back to Patrick again as far as I know. So I wouldn't say he fucked up that bad.
Carl-E:
I thought changing votes wasn't allowed either, or I wouldn't have held back so often.
Lines:
I don't think I've ever played or gm'd a game where changing votes was allowed. I mean, you can speculate by name as much as you want, but once you vote, your vote is cast and that's that. It's too confusing to keep track of votes if people are allowed to change their minds, even when the game is played in person.
Black Sword:
I've always played a game where you can change votes. However, everyone was usually very good about bolding "Lynch <user>" at the bottom of their message. Dropping their vote change in the middle of a mass of text is fairly easy to miss.
Either way, what we play depends on how many sign up. I'm really shooting for 18.
Game and Watch Forever:
Sounds like voting rules just need to be fairly explicit so that there's zero confusion as to who is doing what and what everyone can do in the first place. I think it's clear everyone has had different mafia rule experiences.
Also, I'd love to join next game. It's been too long since my last forum mafia game. Last mafia-like game I played was a game of The Resistence, and holy crap did that leave a bad, metaphorical taste in my mouth. :meh:
Edit: Despite my last game, The Resistence is usually a wonderful little game if you want to play mafia with some hard facts and probability thrown into the game so that you're not always feeling like you have to rely on your guts (though there's still plenty of that).
