How does Momo spend her free time, anyway?

Wouldn't a librarian know how much porn was on the Internet? At least if she were a computer herself?

She spends at least some of her free time with her friends. She just went to a party. Also, I don't think anyone really knows just how much porn is on the internet. Most librarians would probably just say "a lot".

First petabytes, then exabytes, then zettabytes, the yottabytes.

See This Site.
Then hellabytes (not SI-recognized).
Also this if anyone needs an easy way to remember the units. :P

@comic:
Pintsize's search for ALL the porn is like Hubble trying to see beyond the boundaries of the expanding universe. It just can't be done. It's like a flat surface the ends of which always expand at a faster rate than you can catch up to.
Philosophically speaking, Pintsize is Sysiphos on an endlessly growing mountain.

Disk manufacturers use decimal units (GB, TB) whereas informal usage prefers binary units (which should be but still aren't called GiB, TiB)  This is why the disk capacity comes up smaller than you though it would when you bought it (this is partly down to formatting, as well, but the discrepancy is getting bigger as sizes rise).

Pintsize's search for ALL the porn is like Hubble trying to see beyond the boundaries of the expanding universe. It just can't be done.
Or trying to measure the length of the boundary of the Mandelbrot Set. Leaving aside the sheer quantity of porn, there is the philosophical issue of defining porn, and the subjectivity of the judgement. To a shoe-fetishist, a photo of a highly polished stiletto pump is porn.

I also think Akima's name for the Inviso-Flyer should be canon, or at least adopted by the forum. On the second alternative, I so move.

On today's strip, considering some of the things people are capable of in the name of "love" (read (quite literally and appropriately): getting their freak on), would it be possible to mortify Pintsize?

Rubbing an egg against Hannelore to color it may not be the strangest thing Emily has ever done.

... or even the strangest thing that's ever happened to Hannelore.

... even in a 'verse where popping off for your dad's birthday party in orbit is just a thing, y'know?

You know, we're neglecting serving etiquette here.

Is it proper to hold the Fighting Spoon in the right hand while using the Battle Spatula to lop off the guest's arm? And do you fill the WTF Cup with the War Ladle from the guest's left or right, or simply jump screaming to the center of the table?

This, of course, assumes an informal setting. In a formal setting, especially in alternate space-time continuua, the espressosaurus, properly polished, is de rigueur.

Center of the table, of course.  Aside from the element o surprise, it maximizes reach nd speed of service.

And now that the thread has devolved into maximum ridiculosity territory, the espressosaurus needs a monocle and top hat.

You know, anything that comes out of Pintsize's mouth on the subject would probably be so ridiculous, it would result in either a really embarrased Claire chucking him hard across the room or Clinton delivering a metal punch heard 'round the world. And that's assuming the rest of the cast doesn't react first. The little guy probably wouldn't get more than 10% of what's on his mind out there.

On your own, in a new city/town with NO friends and NO support group... this kind of isolation can and does happen.   It's why I hate moving.

I've been here 18 months now and I'm just now getting to know my neighbors.

My mind is blown. If you think about it Pintsize is the most and this is bizarre to say, emotionally mature character in Marten's life. This may be hard for some people to relate to but when I have that one best friend that describes Marten and Pintsize's relationship I get codependent of them. It becomes hard for me to accept the fact that person might get a social life outside of me. Pintsize's message is profound because I'm going through one of those crisis of losing a friend to his larger social circle again and I was thinking negative thoughts about how they were betraying me.

I love it that my much needed wake up call came from everyone favorite goatse machine.
