Depends - Dora, Hanners, Gabby, Claire, Clinton and Cosette are unaccounted for.

Maybe it's just the angle, have to wait to see another image of them, but neither of Em's parents look Asian. Or should I say, Em doesn't look like either of them.

I doubt Tai left without Dora or Steve without Cosette, and we've seen Gabby last strip, that would leave with Hanners, who likely left the same way she came, and Claire and Clinton.
I wonder what Emily's parents would say of her hair.

You think so? I think Emily and her mother look very alike with the same basic face-shape. Both parents have what Jeph has obviously decided is his way of drawing "Asian" eyes, although they are slightly obscured by their spectacles. Dad's face is a bit long and narrow, but Jeph draws all guys like that.
I have never played a FF game, and initially I read Marigold's opponent as Kafka...
idontunderstand:
I bet even Marigold could take Franz Kafka in a fight.
