Thing is, Jeph did a great job conveying Pintsize's attitudes and expressions with little more than the vacant eyes, the straight-line mouth and one or two variations of the open mouth; mostly it was context and body attitude. Could be interesting to see where he takes Pintsize's new expressiveness.

Do we have to figure out how this sentient metallic device changes expression? Has it already been figured out? Can we let it be and enjoy it?

Check out panel #2, compare to the last panel in the QC strip. The whole thing made me think of Hobbes savoring a Tuna sandwich, but I couldn't find any actual examples of Hobbes making that face.
