It feels like more of a deliberate way of making you feel like an outsider. Like you're this tourist going to a troubled country for fun times, and end up getting kidnapped and thrown into it. You work your way up from being a total schmo to working your way up to being a local.

I'm still trying to work out why they keep using the Far Cry name on games that have NO connection to eachother. Unless this game ends with giant monsters and mad scientists, I'm guessing it's just a money thing.

yeah im sure its a money thing. Investors may think something new is too risky unless it has name recognition.
