Hanners The Model?

Kind of interesting:

Overwhelming consensus on the forum is that Hanners is adorable.
Overwhelming consensus on the same forum is that a photo nearly everyone agrees looks like she would look like in real life (even the SFW version) is creepy.

What's going on here? The question's not rhetorical, not confined to Hanners or even QC.

I don't have time to trawl the forum's geological layers, but I do remember a discussion over whether we'd want a Hanners in our lives for real, as much as we generally like her in the comic.

Yeah, the whole scene of that picture of the half naked girl with her panties 'round her thighs on a roadside verge illuminated only by the headlights of a parked car is hella creepy.

The fashion model in the blue pyjamas and the scruffy hair is not.

Context is everything.

Please note I said: Even the SFW version, in which the headlights and undress are not apparent.
