We have good evidence Marten is unlikely to do something casual, since he declined Sven's offer to introduce him to casual-sex types.

Yup, but I don't think the comic could go an entire year without some Marten-romance (Martmance?)

So... I reckon there'll be a new female character at some point to act as Marten's love interest.

That was right after he broke up with Dora, though, so he wasn't exactly in the mood at the time.
