Ooooh......that sounds intriguing. But not intriguing enough to spend five bucks on it. I've enjoyed all of the specialty drinks at Starbucks that I've tried but they're stupidly priced. Caramel apple cider, white hot chocolate, caramel macchiato, chai latte....om nom nom. Starbucks is a treat for me- and when I go, I usually get the passion tea anyway. Because the coffee there sucks.  :-P I'm a Dunkin' girl.....I actually used to work there and kinda miss it sometimes lol

I wonder if there is a reci......found it. It sounds heavenly.

I'm definitely going to try to make that. Once I find some good matcha that doesn't cost $30. Maybe your wife's got the right idea, Blue!

Barmymoo:
Yes, I was about to say that nearly all of Starbucks' fancy drinks have recipes available online for what I'd assume are usually reasonable approximations.

Bluesummers:
Find reasonable [high-quality] matcha is the tough part. Teavana upcharges everything to begin with, so you're better off going through a local supplier.

...........I just realized that the last 3 hours of my life were spent looking up grocery stores in my area simply because I wanted to find matcha. On the plus side- I now know that there is 1 Indian grocery, 1 Russian/Polish/Ukranian, 2 general Asian, 1 Filipino, 1 Latino and 1 all around "ethnic" grocery store all within just a few miles. Who knew?!

I foresee myself spending way too much money on groceries in the coming weeks.

Zingoleb:
My favourite coffeehouse back in Washington had a matcha and almond drink called Soylent Green.
