Winter has arrived with a bang in the south-eastern UK. For some perverse reason, it only rains, sleets or snows when I am travelling to or from work or to and from my religious meeting place.

Ottawa is simultaneously proud that it is one of the coldest country capitals in the world and bitter about that fact, I think.

And the entire fucking country grinds to a halt.
Weirdly enough my commute today was the easiest it's been since September because apparently loads of people were so spooked by the weather warnings that they just stayed at home.

I'm flying to Vienna on Friday morning. Frankly, on the basis of the forecast I've just seen I'm not anticipating any real difficulty, but I'll probably give some extra time to catch an earlier bus to the airport (it's a direct bus from Oxford to Heathrow, and it runs on motorway for the entire journey once outside Oxford).
Case:
So my Mom has learned about Donald's tweet about wanting global warming back or something (I can't look, sry ...) and she texts me: 'This man is truly dangerously stupid'.
Never could argue with Mom.
