Carl- that's awesome! I've never been but it looks beautiful. I should definitely check it out- a friend of mine recently moved to Staatsburg.

And that snow.....ughhhhhh. I'm glad you made it home safe!!

Goddammit. We had sun for the last two days or so. Then it has been snowing almost all day today.

I get mood swings with such a depressing sky. No good.  :x

back when we were living in the asylum that is Arizona (due to my dad's work) I experienced snow, a few days before christmas 2010. One of the two times I've ever seen it.
It was a really light dusting and only lasted about 20 minutes.

The other time was 04-ish, Thanksgiving morning, in Temecula CA, when we were visiting relatives. That actually gave us a full inch of snow. It stopped snowing snowing around 11am and was completely melted and gone by sunset.

Where we live now,  it's currently 50°F - which also happens to be the nighttime low, according to my weather app.  It topped off at 76°F today.

The worst is when you are just starting to wake up and feel like crap. I don't even have to open my eyes to know the sky looks like crap.
Of course, I have some stupid sensitivity to air pressure, so severe weather gives me headaches and ache-y eyes until it goes away. And of course, I live in Michigan, land of seasonal depression.
