First tornado sirens of the year, but no tornadoes. I'm fine with that.

edit -- and I learned tonight there is a town in Oklahoma called Cookietown. It got hit by a tornado.

That's....depressing.

There's a village in Connecticut called Happyland. I kid you not. I've driven through it a couple of times. I think the Town Council in Preston (the town that Happyland is a part of) decided to call it that to balance against the actual content of the village...because that place is a SHITHOLE.

It's the modern-day equivalent of Erik the Red's viral marketing strategy: "We'll name it 'Greenland' so people will want to live there."
