This even more just in - the weather thread

Considering the age and condition of the roads around here, that would likely fall into the "granny porn" category. Which I suppose Quagmire would still be into.

IT'S BEEN HAPPILY DRY HERE FOR DA why is this al in capitals? I [romise I am not drunf I am trying to type with one hand uand a book over the keys
Right, I have finished eating my gluten-free, vegan pizza (it was about as good as you'd expect) and removed the book from the keyboard. It's been happily dry here for days, which makes cycling to uni much more pleasant. Today, however, I got the train... and of course it was delayed. There was no bad weather to blame, so this time it was an electrical fault.
The Seldom Killer:
Occasional showers here. While it's dry and warm enough to ride around quite happily, Atlas is just filthy and my bike keeps getting coated in filth.

I was riding in a bus a little while ago, and all of a sudden an emergency alert broke in for a high wind warning. Including in that warning was that "high profile vehicles" could be blown over...didn't help make my trip anymore comfortable.
The snow's pretty much stopped now. Also I was in a hurry and couldn't find my gloves, so I made the mistake of leaving without them. Now think I have an idea of what the beginnings of frostbite (before permanent damage is done) feels like, because when I came in out of the cold my thumb (just one thumb) was red and throbbing and hurt like all hell for like 30 minutes.
