This even more just in - the weather thread

6 degrees - but light snow. That's on top of what's already on the ground. I think we've got a good two feet of snow cover at the moment.
An aside: on my way home from work this morning, I had to turn two blocks early because they were removing snow at one of the three intersections with stoplights in our fair city.
They use a dump truck, a grader, and a huge grinder-like snow blower to do the clearing of city streets. And that's not even to the pavement.

On a related note, I can't tell if it's still snowing or if it's just that windy.

Couple of inches of snow fell yesterday as the temps dropped. Evening walk for the dogs? It was -5 F.
I have poor circulation. Two pair of socks, one of them fleece, thinsulite boots, two pair of gloves (fleece lined leather over knit), and after a short (10 block or so) walk, I couldn't feel any fingers or toes.

Wind Chill Advisory and Blowing/Drifting snow with "bitter cold winds" are going to make things hell FUN around here for a while.
