Six of one, half a dozen of the other...

Most of the snow has been cleared from walkways and roads, but it's been quite the job getting there. In the meantime, here's a picture of my work van, parked in my driveway, right after the snow stopped. The top of the van is 6'8"...so, yeah. Lot of snow.

I hope you have your Worry Hat nearby. Not only is it good against anxiety, but it looks like it should be pretty warm.

Carl-E:
I've mentioned this before, but it's been a while...

My first year living in Buffalo was the winter of '77.  The blizzard that hit at the end of January was the stuff of legends, and still outdoes this little mess.

We had a drift against the house that sealed both the front and back doors shut (they were on the same side of the house).  We got out through the balcony off my brother's bedroom.  I dug a tunnel to the back door.

It was a week before the street was cleared.  They brought in metro-melters from Toronto.  The snow they hauled off got dumped either into Lake Erie or Delaware Park, where there were snow piles that lasted through the summer and got snowed on the next wiinter...

I feel for you guys stuck in it, but trust me - you'll make it.  I've seen worse!

Front and back ... same side ... is that even legal?

Also: snowpiles, through summer?! Awesome!

Barmymoo:
How can the front and back doors be on the same side of the house? I am confuse.
