You forget how much of a pain in the ass two feet of snow is when you don't get that amount for a couple winters. The storm is over and the roads are clear, but I ended up being late to work because it took me like 15 minutes to clear snow and ice off my car, dig a path for my car to get out (the lot had been plowed but there were snowdrifts on two sides of my car), end up stuck anyway, and dig some more. Snow piled up along the curb was partially obstructing a lane on one of the main roads. Also I'm pretty sure the available parking spots in this town have been cut in half due to snow piles.

This may be the first winter where I'm glad to be in New England and not a southern more area. We had about 4 inches here and most of it melted already...

I'd feel worse about telling you all of this, but as I stated, I am from New England. I crashed a car making a right turn once because the snow was so high...

It was snowing when I went to bar trivia earlier. The announcer told everyone, "Social media tip: don't complain about the weather out there. The people on the east coast don't care."

It's so cold that I've had to engage the main-room heater in my studio apartment for only the 2nd time this winter. Usually the bathroom heater is enough to keep the apartment warm enough.

The wind is so strong that holding a lighter anywhere near the front door when a gust comes through will cause it to blow out, and it's supposed to be really windy all day, I'm half expecting to come back from work to find my screen door blown off its hinges completely.
