Not a Mac person.  I think I know whatthe [blob]+A means, it's like ctrl+A, selecting all. 

[blob]+Q?  Quit?  Does it exit the program?  Or shut down the machine...?

It quits the program, and in quite a few ones, it does so without a prompt.

God I hate the Mac interface.

Windows and Linux tend to do the same thing, save with control instead of command, so it's not really Mac-specific behaviour.  Usually for me, I end up hitting ^Q instead of ^W when just trying to close a window || tab.
