Maybe it would be more interesting if we added some robots. And maybe a space station. Also, we should give some of them some interesting mental issues, like OCD or something.

We should have the main character meet a girl who was stalking him, which turns out to be okay because she's just OCD and on wonky meds, and then turns out to be daughter of the greatest scientist in the history of mankind AND a billionaire corporate genius who is just a shark tank shy of being an Evil Overlord!
What am I thinking, that's ridiculous.
