LTK:
In the latest Dark Science:

"I represent the opposing view."

"It is one that must be opposed."

Gee, I wonder what department he's trying to recruit Vonnie into. ;)

Another thought, if we look at the Dark Scientists here, there's one whose identity we found out previously (Thomas Caspar, the one with the bunny ears). Today's comic introduces Belphegor, the fat one, who was addressed as such by Morningstar in #35. There might be other characters who are Dark Scientists but haven't revealed it. The broad-shouldered guy might be Amon Harthrow, the guy who looks and smells like a steakhouse.

Then there's still the tiny one, the skinny one, and the one with the breasts. The tiny one could be Ester Mammon, who got the archaeology booth trashed. Can't be sure though. No idea about the others.

I wonder how many of the people seemingly gleefully mindlessly following the mindless bureaucracy are actually part of this group and far more knowledgeable about what's really going on than they've let on.  Sort of a variation of a "The Man Who Was Thursday" sort of scenario.

Loki:
Wow, I need to check out Dresden Codak (now that I've caught up with Gunnerkrigg Court and it is awfully slow to update).

Read this: http://www.unsoundedcomic.com/ (the past tense version of read, why are they spelled the same? English...) the other day. Fantastic art, especially for such a long running webcomic. It doesn't even do the thing that most webcomics do, which is start off poor quality and gradually improve (like QC!), it's great the whole way through.

The only problem is the characters aren't the most likable (well the guy is pretty likable), but as the story goes along you care for them a bit more. There's a lot of humor and action and just some awesome swear words. I binged the whole thing in an 8 hour stretch.

dexeron:
Unsounded is brilliant, and I try to shill it to everyone I know whenever I can.  It's astounding insomuch as despite the insane quality level of the art and storytelling, the artist almost never misses her three-times-a-week update schedule.  She partially compensates for this by taking month long breaks between chapters to build up her buffer, but it's also largely just because she has an incredible work ethic when it comes to her art.

That doesn't even begin to get into the really effective worldbuilding and characterization (and I agree, some of the characters are terrible, others you love to hate, but some you can't help but love.)  It's a very dark, tragic, at times funny, but most importantly, compelling story.  I was glad to support her latest kickstarter (for the printing of volume two, got myself two graphic novels out of it, yay!)

tl;dr - faboy ranting, OMG I second the recommendation, go read Unsounded now. ;)
