--- Quote from: Floorman on 11 Feb 2013, 13:29 ---In the US, the up/down thing seems to be regional. In the north, people go "up" to somewhere, and the south people go "down" to somewhere, regardless of the actual geography involved.

--- End quote ---

I find that highly inaccurate. I'm from the north and everybody I know and have ever met, most from the Mid-West, uses the word down.

Redball:
I don't think Petula Clark was ever heard to sing about "uptown."

--- Quote from: treyhawk on 11 Feb 2013, 16:05 ---BLACK FLAG?  Henry Rollins, Greg Ginn, and the boys PLAYING A WEDDING?

I am definitely with Marten on this one.

That is one wedding I wish I could have been at.  Where's a frikkin' time machine when you really need one?

--- End quote ---

The lady who owns one is a bit busy with some domestic issues at the moment.

Friendzoning Misandrist:
Am I the only one who would love to see a flashback comic of Henry and Veronica's wedding?

--- Quote from: Method of Madness on 11 Feb 2013, 12:58 ---I don't really use up/down except if I'm shipping up to Boston. People in my state will often say they're going "down the shore" when they're going to the beach. I didn't accidentally leave the "to" out of it, that's what they say, and it's as annoying as it sounds.

--- End quote ---
A fellow New Jerseyan?

mustang6172:
I've never been to a wedding reception with live music.  Is that strange?
