Those and the catnipped Mieville comic are all 11s on the 1-10 scale in my book! As a matter of fact, I attempted to draw a graph of Mieville's awesomeness thoughout the comic, and it ended up just being a horizontal line... :-D

Not really; people who are active on the forum might choose to avoid having an avatar that could be too readily confused with someone else's, is all.

I tend to identify people by their signature quotes, to be honest (which is harder when people don't have one). Actually, if you don't have a sig or an avatar, I will have difficulty remembering who you are unless you have a distinctive writing style, because I am awful with names. I genuinely have been known to forget my boyfriend's name before.
