Even the worst parents feel respect is owed.  Sometimes, the worse the parent is, the nmore they feel that way. 

Out of line or not, she's his mother.  And he's a "good boy", so he'll kowtow.  Family dynamics.

He's theoretically an adult. I said nothing about whether he should have objected; he had a right to. The manner of his objection was that of a petulant teen.

A woman I'd like to see more of in Michigan was born two weeks after I graduated from high school. She'll be 58 this summer. Dammit.
