(Explanation for the non-Germans: Bavaria, which is coincidentally quite far in the south, is often considered to be more xenopobic than the rest of Germany. Also, nowadays "the Turks" are often by some blamed for "invading Germany" with their "Muslim ways" etc.)

Well, tell that to the people from Saxony…
(Another explanation to non-Germans: Saxony is the state in Germany where the nationalist party usually gets the highest quote of whole Germany (9.6% currently))
Well, but we Germans have lotsa stereotypes about other parts of Germany. And the typical cliché picture of Germans (Lederhosen, sausages and Beer) is actually the stereotype of Bavaria. On the other hand, I guess many people think of us people in Schleswig-Holstein (the most northern part of Germany) either as jovial fishermen or as grumpy farmers.

Most countries are full of these sorts of stereotypes. America has plenty, so does Canada, the UK, Russia and so on.
