ankhtahr:
That comic has been changed for a rather long time. I've never seen the original.

Method of Madness:
But the joke was made, years ago, and seems to have been changed quite recently. It's also the poor editing job I take offense to, but mostly what's said is said and it's dishonest to pretend otherwise. Also changing the word didn't make the jokingly suggested action less nonconsensual.

No, no, no. It's going to be Faye and Angus or Tai and the interns wondering how Claire and Marten are getting along while doing normal people things for the rest of the week.

I don't see how that's an issue at all. It's Jeph's comic, it's a fictional work and he can say whatever he pleases. It isn't being censored externally and it is easily accessible from internet archives without attempts to "censor" the old version out of existence from Jeph. Are you saying it's immoral for authors to publish edited versions of their own works? That rewriting something to better suit how you want it is wrong? I guess I should leave all the English-fails in when dealing with old bits I've written too, then. After all, I didn't know better at the time.

The old version is really uncomfortable. There's a vast difference between a statement that shy, submissive people want to be raped and that they'd fantasize about being with a dominant partner. Those two are not close experiences at all.

Madmartigan:

I don't recall it being that bad at all. Might you be exaggerating a tad?

--- End quote ---

Guess we have different interpretations of "failure to hit on said girl". :-\

You probably thought it wasn't that bad because Potter let em down gently like a baby.
