--- Quote from: KOK on 25 Mar 2013, 10:03 ---I don't see Martens work relation to Claire as anything like that. Marten is a lowly unskilled helper at the library. Claire is on the career track to become a librarian. Claire's supervisor must be a librarian, who have, no doubt quite informally, left most of the more practical stuff to Tai. Tai has, equally imformally, passed the buck to Marten. Marten is not in any meaningful way Claire's boss.

He has seniority. That's why he was training them. But his position is basically that of a paid intern anyway, so I'm doubtful he has any superiority in his position.

And you don't think Jeph knows that?
Mr_Rose:
Wait, do we know Emily is a bad person to tell secrets to?
Have we seen her break a confidence?
If anything, she seems quite likely to completely forget the secret before she got the chance to tell…
Zebediah:
Or remember the secret but forget that it's supposed to be secret.
Honestly, in the QCverse Claire's best bet for a confidant is Mieville. Cats don't inadvertently blurt out the secrets you tell them.
