Origins is one of those games that it will always be in my top five games. My attitude towards 2 has tempered somewhat over the past couple of years. Its got a lot of problems (when you have a DLC campaign thats more highly praised than the base game ever got, you know you have a problem).

But you are right, Dragon Age 2 is not the yardstick you measure the series by. Its the game you make when you want to capitalise on the successful game and you want to do it fast. Origins had a lot more in common with the older style of RPG, it was a labour of love. 2 was the "Press a button and something awesome happens", which was a one trick pony after about 10 minutes.

I'm looking forward to Inquisition, but I'm nowhere near jumping around like a crazy person excited.

Aaaaand now the Kossith (Qunari) have been announced as a playable race....

I really don't know what to make of that.
