Pfft, that's not Jeph, that's his evil half-twin-brother, Eduardo, out to insinuate himself slowly into Jephs life and steal it away from him completely, thus carrying out his blood oath to his great grandfather for reasons he can no longer remember.

I'm actually reading through those now. I actually started reading around 1800ish, but always had trouble bringing myself to go through the huge archive until now. It's certainly odd reading it pushing Marten and Faye SO hard, yet full well knowing 'This will never happen. Ever.'
