I think Amitloaf has hand and arm confused. Because Emily's left arm is translucent. It's in front of the wing.

No it's not. Her arm has to go behind the wing if its going to come up at that angle without bending it back out of the way.

TinPenguin:
It's the fairy wings that are translucent. Though probably not actual gossamer. ;)

Loki:
Sorry, I meant to say "there is one arm which is not colorfilled. The arm I mean is the one that is drawn to be in front of the wing. But you can see through it."

--- Quote from: '@jephjacques (Jeph on Twitter)' ---I really like doing Emily comics. Emily is weird.

TimO:
Isn't the fairy essentially invoking the Liar's Paradox?

Fairy: "Fairies don't grant wishes, they play tricks on people."
Emily: "Tricks? What kind of tricks?"
Fairy: "Well for instance, I'm not really a fairy".

... or is it closer to being an example of Epimenides paradox?  I'm not good at dealing with the logical exactitudes of whether it's still amusing if she's playing a trick on someone, but just because she can, not since she's really a fairy. :?

Anyway, we know real fairies are vindictive little bastards, not the fluffy things that this portrayal suggests. :-D
