I saw "South Asia" and "Southeast Asia" and never realized that "Southwest Asia" wasn't there. "Middle East" is a weird term, just because it changes a little bit depending on who uses it, I've come to understand it as southwest Asia, but some people include bits of Africa in the region.

I'm referring to the region as it shows in the map included in the opening post...
and specifically the point I'm reading QC from - Israel (smack-dab on the junction of Europe-Asia-Africa continent-wise).
...and indeed considered at times a part of any of the 3, depending on different criteria...

So Southwest Asia, got it. And really? I'm pretty sure Israel is always considered part of Asia (as well as part of the Middle East). I was there in December, good times.

and bordering on Egypt to the south (Africa) and en route (admittedly a long route apparently) to joining the EU (Europe)...
just to muddy the alegorical (international?) waters...
- and now I'm the "1" in the sudden Middle East Option the poll has sprang... ;-)
