Method of Madness:
So...anyone else watch The Defenders yet?
BenRG:
I've started watching it this week. It has all the problems of a crossover in that it has to re-introduce four already-introduced characters but the first episode does that well, just telling four stories (five actually, but the details of that are a spoiler) that have no obvious link. We'll see how they handle meshing them together, especially Jessica 'Self-Hating Misanthrope' Jones.

Not as of yet. I had not watched "Iron Fist" yet because of some of the reviews, but am starting it now. I will go on to "The Defenders" when I finish. (The first episode so far isn't bad, but it's not anywhere near as gripping as Daredevil S1, Jessica Jones, or Luke Cage were.)
Edit:
Okay, watching The Defenders now, on ep 6, although I'll have to re-watch eps 3-6 again since I was busy setting up a Slack for my local LUG on the other display and made the mistake of mentioning it on the group's IRC channel (and dealing with that).

Currently known list of characters for Infinity War:
(click to show/hide)-Iron Man, which is fulfilling Robert Downey Jr's contract with the series as one of the last couple of appearances.
-Steve Rogers, pointedly not as Captain America.
-Black Panther
-Spider-man. Tom Holland did recently confirm that he will be in the film, ending a lot of speculation.
-Thor, with Thor: Ragnarok having an immediate impact on Infinity War.
-Doctor Strange. Well, we already knew Bendystick Cucumber was going to be in it.
-Wong, because Strange would be nothing without his competent friend.
-All of the Guardians of the Galaxy (So all the Vol 2 crew). Vin Diesel let it slip that there will be a fight between Groot and the Hulk.
-Nebula will be in the film, but Karen Gillan said it won't be a large role.
-Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Vision and Bucky.
-Hulk will have a major arc that will be spread across Thor: Ragnarok and both Infinity War films.
-Maria Hill.
-Benicio Del Toro's character, the Collector is back.
-Happy Hogan and Pepper Potts are also back.
As well as the usual suspect, two new actors have been confirmed to have roles in Infinity War as members of Thanos' Black Order.
-Tom Vaughn-Lawlor, an Irish actor famous for playing crime boss Nidge in the crime drama Love/Hate, will be playing Ebony Maw.
-Terry Notary, an actor who specialises in Motion Capture, recently in War for the Planet of the Apes as Rocket and as Kong in Skull Island. He'll be both Teen Groot and Cull Obsidian (Black Dwarf in the comics).
-Peter Dinklage is rumoured to be appearing the film, but no word on what the role will be.
Still no word on Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury (never to be confused with Nick Furry). Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle and Scarlett Johannsen are listed as being in the film, but its unknown how large a role they'll be playing.
