I've been considering getting a tattoo but I know I'd want one that is hideable, (specifically have thought about getting a Cedar of Lebanon on my upper back) but the question I keep coming back to is then why do it?

I have a tattoo on the top of my back that is almost always hidden and I can't see it without a mirror. I still love knowing it's there and the placement is part of that. What it was and its size suited that choice. You should get a tattoo for you and not others, that's more than enough reason to get it the way you want it.

Honestly, anywhere on the back is pretty easily hidden. My (fresh) tattoo is the brightest that it will ever be, and it doesn't show through a white button down.
