Can we have another fashion/clothing thread? Pretty please?

Not worth it, and I'm not mad about the NUS anyway. Some places do just accept uni IDs though. I still have my Cambridge one and no qualms at all about using it until I get my Birmingham one instead!

Hi there! I'm Gareth, the NUS representative for *deleted*. The NUS card actually only costs £12, and lasts for a year. If you actually use it for all the things that you can use it for (Spotify premium, Top Shop, Amazon, Dominoes, Odeon, coach rides, a discount on a railcard) you save shitloads of money. For my personal lifestyle I would save something like £750 a year.

Sorry to reply late, but uh... NUS cards actually are pretty awesome.

The NUS, on the other hand...

Oh hey, are we talking student discounts on online shops or what? In that case with ASOS (and H&M, Urban Outfitters if you're into that, and a lot of other stores) all you have to do is sign up with https://www.myunidays.com/, which is completely free.

And yeah, I think I'll get that dress, pretty sure I can pull it off. If it feels awkward they do free returns, so I've got nothing to lose! I know what you mean by the whole 'flatter your body type' bullshit, it's pretty lame that we're apparently supposed to create an optical illusion in order to look good, but I do think different bodies suit different things.

I agree- go for it! I could see that looking really cute with leggings and boots. Every time I look at it, I think of corduroy. I have no idea why. Maybe even throw a corduroy blazer over top because that would be Spiffy.

Metope:
The stripes kind of makes it look like corduroy! And yeah I just got new boots today, they're so great and would look really cute with that dress! All of my dresses besides one are very summery, so it will be nice to have another dress that looks good with autumn and winter clothes.

The thing is, I don't use Spotify, I won't be shopping for clothes again, Dominoes doesn't sell anything I can eat, I don't go to the cinema, I get a free rail card with my bank account and as a result coaches are very rarely a better option. I absolutely agree they're worth it for some people, but I can't see myself making £12 of savings using one. The only thing I would maybe use it for would be Amazon, and I don't anticipate spending much money there now that I've got regular and easy access to a very large library of fiction and no more space to store anything I buy.
