aww

I'm still a bit disappointed that the only two things that spring to mind for most people when they hear "Beethoven" are the Ode to Joy and the beginning of the fifth symphony. Beethoven made so much great music! I'll admit, I'm a Beethoven fan, especially the sixth symphony and the "Coriolan" are amongst my favourite pieces of music at all.

Symphony #7, movement 2, allegretto.  Kills me every time I hear it.

ankhtahr:
Good choice!

Symphony No. 3, Second movement, Adagio assai (Marcia Funebre) always gives me goosebumps.

Skewbrow:
My favorite pieces by Beethoven are sonatas. Kreutzer sonata is absolutely brilliant, Frühling and Pathetique & Moonlight (mixing violin and piano here, I know) are all very fine.

Mr_Rose:
Beethoven was a good doggie.
