GarandMarine:
Challenge: Learn something or do something new, at least twice a month. It can be learning a recipe, going to an event, taking a class, trying a new craft or hobby. Anything so long as it's something new.

My own upcoming challenges for August. (Money and time depending what with the new job)
Learn how to cook /actual/ ramen at home
Learn how to cook glorious pad thai at home

Edit: Oh holy fuck balls, I've been researching these recipes, and finding a wealth of resources for Japanese cuisine amongst other food types.... I'm gonna get fat, but damn I gotta try a lot of this stuff at home.... any one near DE wanna come over for dinner? I need victi... errr test subje... dinner companions.

Ooh.....I like this. I just have to think for a while about what I'm going to do, because my head just might explode if I start one more project that I don't finish.

Good luck!! And please share your (successful) recipes!

GarandMarine:
I'm right with you fromage, that's why I'm aiming for small "bite size" things I can learn or do, like learning a new recipe to enjoy.

de_la_Nae:
I was just thinking about this the other day. Glad I'm not alone in the misery/fun.

It's silly, but I'm trying to train myself to use a DVORAK typeset. I can bash out a mean word/minute rate on QWERTY, but I hear shit's so cash.

I like this!

In August, I'll try to make that lamb curry recipe I've been drooling over, and... well, need to give the second goal some thought, but I'll come up with something.  There are too many options running through my head, really, and I count that as a good thing.
