Storel:
Yes, it is.  8-)

So, just because I was hoping to see the very next line before the Python quotes got shut down:

--- Quote from: Carl-E on 15 Aug 2013, 01:27 ---And jwhouk, if you start going outside the confines of the one movie, I'll have to have a few words with you about a dead parrot...

--- End quote ---

He's not dead, He's resting! He's pining for the fjords!

--- End quote ---

Look, I took the liberty of examining that parrot when I got it home, and I discovered the only reason that it had been sitting on its perch in the first place was that it had been NAILED there.

--- End quote ---

Well, of course it was nailed there. If it hadn't been, it would have muscled up to the bars, bent them apart with its beak, and VOOM!

--- End quote ---

"Voom"??!?? Mate, this parrot wouldn't "voom" if you put four million VOLTS through him!!!

[Quotes paraphrased from memory... it's been a loooong time.]

--- Quote from: Arancaytar on 16 Aug 2013, 01:10 ---This last page reminds me of what Randall Munroe said in that one strip about excessively quoting Monty Python. :P

Thomas Huxley's remark applies: "It is the customary fate of new truths, to begin as heresies, and to end as superstitions."

Loki:
I watched the original after that.

Confession: I had no idea the lumberjack song was related to the parrot sketch *blush*

It wasn't, originally.  Only in the stage show and later the movie.  The originals were TV sketches, nothing was really related.  As the show often said,

"And now, for something completely different!"
