I'd make a point about it just being all kinds of classy with resources that should be for children going to the Military, but I'm sure someone can site the U.S. spending disparity between Defense and Education. I've never seen the Marine Corp need to do a bake sale, even if the mental image is hilarious.

*Corps, and we actually do the occasional bake sale, though car washes are more common. An oddly disportionate amount of women bring their cars though to get washed for some reason... one lady came through twice and donated a $20 each time! It's all to raise money for side activities like the Marine Corps Ball though goddess knows we could have used it here and there for supplies. (The Marines have the smallest budget in the D.O.D and a fuck ton to do with it)
