Shortly before my college graduation, the department chair took all the senior physics students out to a bar. That evening, the bar had a karaoke thing going on. So a couple of us sang "Bohemian Rhapsody". At one point in the song it repeats "Bismillah". The department chair happens to be Egyptian, and pointed out the meaning of "Bismillah" ("in the name of the Lord") to us.

Isn't that more of an excuse? Or am I not thinking of it in the right way?
Like.. "Go wash the dishes", "Eh.. god will do it"

thats like asking someone to wash the dishes and their reply is "Winter is Coming." Plus back when all this was pertinent we wouldn't be the ones washing the dishes anyways, the help would. Considering my family history it would be more like "I hope the peasants have a good crop this year." "God will perform it." or "I hope the rain lets up so we can use our horses don't get trapped in the mud" "God will do it it."
