Originally, when Veronica first met Claire, here, she gave her the "I WANT GRANDKIDS!" speech, which the fans took as a little insensitive for the obvious reason.

Anyway, honestly, Claire should know better than to expect anyone but Marten (at this point, even Marten, really) to see this as a big deal...?  Tai and Faye must be confused as hell right now.

If Emily heard Claire talking about getting her ears pierced, then she would know that Claire had been scared. If she knew or remembered about that, then she would probably have complimented her on her bravery.

At worst, she's self-absorbed. At best, she's clueless. What's more likely is that she's in between and just doesn't pay as much attention to her friends as she should. I usually don't mind Emily. I think she's sweet and interesting most of the time. But this just ... bothers me.

I call that a tube top. A "boob tube" is just for ... well, you know.

At school, I used to be like Emily about maths-tests ("They're easy! They're fun! You don't have to write essays!"). She just isn't thinking outside the me-bubble.

not necessarily; claire could have been thinking about it in the abstract at that point, with real anxiety only appearing once perforation became imminent.




also, i don't know much about body-piercing, but don't fresh ones get swollen up and bleed for a while?
