An introduction thread for nooooobz?

I think we had something similar a while ago (maybe even started by me) but I was wondering if us forum old hands could do eith a stickied thread somewhere where we and the mods all introduce ourselves so that newbies can get a feel for the forum before (or indeed after) they join up. Good idea? Bad idea?

I like it. Personally I'm always curious what the people who already are on a forum i just joined are like, and it's very tiresome to gather that from normal posts.
Although I have probably not been here long enough to be considered an oldie, I'd sign up, if that's wanted.
