Another good couple are SSN and Red Storm Rising Lupercal, but any of the Jack Ryan series are as good as well.

My top three are (in no particular order) Red Storm Rising, The Hunt For Red October and...uh... probably Patriot Games with Rainbow Six being a close 4th place.

Love Patriot Games the Novel - NOT too fond of the Movie, though Harrison was good in it.

Watched Red October yesterday, in tribute.

I've always felt that Red Storm Rising would make one kickass war film.
