Tai's confusion also reminds me of the time that Faye, talking about Angus, couldn't articulate the word "boyfriend" (ending up with "boyfling", if I remember correctly).

It's common enough here in the US for people (even non-Spanish speakers) to occasionally drop a word or two of Spanish. I didn't think anything unusual of it.
