--- Quote from: Neko_Ali on 15 Nov 2013, 05:03 ---I am not sure why everyone immediately jumps to Dora's insecurities as to why she's so angry at the new girl. It's possible that she's doing the 'my girlfriend has an ex and now she must die!' thing, but that wasn't really how she was like with Marten. To me at least it looks more like 'Someone's giving my girlfriend shit, and now she must die!'

It seems more like Dora's insecurities flared up...and I'm seeing a bit of a no win here for Dora. If she reacts with Tai like she did with Marten she's probably going to end up freaking Tai out and causing problems for herself, though it might also show some character growth if she realizes the problem and actively confronts it (maybe even genuinely apologizing for her earlier fuckups). If she doesn't, instead trying to keep herself from going nuts she is still going to probably feel stressed and as Tai has previously been used to noncommital relationships might try something (even innocently) and end up badly hurting Dora. Either way this has the potential to be fairly interesting.
Welu:
For whatever reason, I read the smirk as a comment about Dora's age. I think because it clearly looks directed at Dora and the only thing this person meeting Dora for the first time knows about her is she's Tai's girlfriend. The only thing you can really tell to look at is that she's older than Tai. It never occurred to me that Allie might be an ex till looking in this thread and I don't the comic reads as her anything more than someone friendly with Tai. Also Dora was totally happy meeting Allie till the smirk, so it doesn't read to me that she assumes Allie is Tai's ex either.
Carl-E:
Could be the age thing, but I think it's more likely that the smirk's abut Tai having A girlfriend - after having been known around campus for her polyamory, the notion of her settling down may have inspired a "yeah, right!" reaction.
Loki:
^That was my interpretation as well.
Of course, in this context, "girlfriend" need not imply "one and only".

Ooh, I like this interpretation. It means we get a deeper look into Tai, which I think he character needs at this point.
