I believe that's in reference to how Marigold feels about herself.

(See their second album's name.)

de_la_Nae:
If I might be Devil's Advocate for a moment, you are literally never free of other people's influence.

Especially someone who's internalized the kind of self-concepts and learned helplessness that Marigold seems to have.

--- Quote from: GarandMarine on 05 Dec 2013, 21:09 ---Momo makes it sound like a dark ritual of some kind. COMMENCE THE TOUCHING OF BUTTS!
--- End quote ---
I think Momo's been talking to Hannelore a lot; "the touching of butts" sounds like her.

--- Quote from: ZoeB on 05 Dec 2013, 02:46 --- I hope they take it slowly. Do some growing up together. Then will I SQUEE.
--- End quote ---
Any resemblance between myself and Momo is purely coincidental. Really.
*SIGH* Who am I kidding?

Usurpatore Hominum LXVI:

--- Quote from: de_la_Nae on 05 Dec 2013, 15:00 ---I feel like I'm repeating myself here, but I think it bears mentioning: people like Marigold rarely 'heal' enough to not run away from situations like this without actually going through times that they run away. Maybe I'm projecting a little too much, but we have a very strong alarm sense that we have to face down, and sometimes we have to step away a bit to quiet it.

This is a Marigold victory. No drugs, in public, for a few important minutes no fear. The fear comes back, and will probably never fully go away, but it can become more manageable.

Don't ever expect her to be anything like Dora or Tai or even Faye. She'll probably run away a few more times. But it also probably doesn't mean the same thing to her that it would to other characters.

That's my super-self-projecting theory at any rate.

--- End quote ---

This makes a lot of sense to me.
