A rather formal looking shirt (white, buttoned, with a collar) worn outside the pants. I thought Jim was seriously wierd wearing it like that. Here we have another character dressed he same way. Is that something they do in Northampton?

It's done a fair bit around colleges. Sort of a preppie-gone-wrong look. THe pants are usually jeans.
OK, more like preppie-discovered-mind altering substances-and-gave-up-on-preppie look.
At least,that's how I saw it back in the 90's.
Last time I played a game like that it involved a watermelon and my drink was a bottle of Stolichnaya.
I woke up with a broken elbow, and a Russian composition final that afternoon... which is when the hangover kicked in.

Stump sounds like a fun game. You can play to win, play to lose, or just play the course, and have fun no matter what.
It will ruin the block for other purposes though. For example I would not want to chop firewood on a block that has been used in a game - I appreciate the blade of my axe too much.
