Now I see what Jeph meant when he said it was going to be "one of those parties": a party full of college kids who spend the whole time getting as high and/or drunk as possible. While Marten enjoys the occasional drunkenness, I suspect this is not going to be his cup of tea.
...Unless the fact that he knows nobody there enables him to drop his inhibitions and join in the "fun", but he's pretty self-conscious, so I dunno.

How do you hit a nail with an axe?? Sounds almost impossible to do. How much fun is it if you have almost no chance of making the other person take a drink? Not to mention playing with an axe while drunk sounds a lot more dangerous than playing with a hammer...
Edit: Oh, yeah, and how do drunk people even remember which nail is theirs when all nails look alike?
