OTOH, it's hard to do an experiment in upbringing using an adult!
I did what I could in terms of gender-neutral upbringing of my children; but not to the point of denying them the gender they undoubtedly had.

In the movie Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, the baby is born, the mother asks the doctor if it's a boy or a girl, and the doctor says "I think it's a bit early to start imposing roles on it, don't you?" Played for laughs, but it made me think, which may have been the point.
It's an interesting "experiment" if that's what it is.
