--- Quote ---Krampus On Infinite Earths #7 (2010)

Story by Chris Sims
Art by Nate Bellegarde

For sixteen hundred years, Santa Claus and Krampus have been an unstoppable team, giving presents to good children and hauling the wicked ones off to Hell! But now, as the sinister Nackles grows in power from his absolute destruction of the North Pole workshop, that partnership has come to an end with The Death of Santa Claus!

Without their jolly leader, can even the combined might of the Council of Cross-Time Krampuses, including fan-favorites like Krampula, Bat-Krampus, Gun-Toting '90s Krampus, Teenage Mutant Ninja Krampus, Mortal Kombat Krampus, and the sultry Krampess rise up to stop the planet Earth from becoming a charred cinder of coal? Find out in this double-sized shocker that changes everything you know about the Holidays!

Wait... where the FUCK in brave new world does it mention this crap? Information is still denied to people, ridiculous stuff is still pushed by governments, and who the fuck gave Huxley (or this fanwanking piece of crap) the correctness to decide what "a trivial culture" is. I mean for the love of Baal, people have been worried about this sort of crap for generations saying how "low class" art is entering and becoming too important, and always, ALWAYS its people who think of themsevles as the sole arbiters of what is good that do this.

Wether wealthy moralists or annoying arthouse types, theres always been a kind of handwringing "oh god there ENJOYING this" kind of fascination with what people are doing and somehow saying that it will cripple us "as a culture" is one of the most asinine and self righteous things you can talk about. Its the equivilent of people complaining about Muslim influences in the world, would you accept those accusations with the same nods of "he has a point" that so many people looking at this (and considering themselves unaffected by the "common herd" ideas) will do?

Sorry to rant, but this sort of thing really gets me irritated.
