Yup! If you look, you can see the tree line back on the horizon of the photo. We own all the land between where I am standing and those trees, which includes more to the left and the right of the photo. All the land surrounding the lake is ours, so I guess we kind of own the lake? It's no good for swimming or fishing, though. Just duck hunting.

Not really. There's one farm in the range of the photograph, right above the left edge of the lake in the trees. Beyond that there are a couple of farms, and a couple off the picture on the right side. The area I'm from is really sparsely populated. And pretty!
