It ended up being surprisingly sturdy, in any case...we were thinking of adding another room onto it.  Slick, you should've totally come down from the frozen north and drank in it with us.

Slick, who cares?
I am part Inuit, ...
I'm not trying to argue or anything I am just trying to straighten some facts.
PS: The "emergency snow shelter" he built doesn't look like easy, non-skilled work. But perhaps I just don't have trained, part-Inuit eyes  :-P
Wasn't meaning to be diminutive, it is a bunch of labour, but it isn't as tricky as building an igloo, which is quite hard to do un-trained, whereas this is a reasonable task for a fit human being to do.

p.s. next time dimmukane, next time.

Yeah, I decided the likelihood of us being sober and able to plan something like a legitimate igloo was next to nil (it was).  I also don't know the difference between a snow saw or any other kind of saw, or how to make a tidy entrance like those huts on Tatooine in Star Wars.  I think the next time we get that much snow we will try to go full igloo, I saved a couple boxes to make blocks with.

Slick, does this satisfy your criteria for an igloo, or am I to break my flatmate's heart and tell her she failed?

Man I ain't no igloo guru. Is it made of bricks of hardened snow? Does it have a roof or is that all that it was?
I wouldn't have a problem calling that an igloo because it appears to be built up of bricks rather than hollowed out after mounding. I only commented on the first one because dimmu had made something similar to an igloo that wasn't an igloo, so I just wanted to clear up that difference.
An igloo is typically made out of bricks of hardened frozen snow, stacked up into a dome, and should have the entrance beneath the level of the floor so that it traps the hot air, but that is a bunch of extra work. A solid igloo will do you all winter or longer.

I guess the thing here which determines whether or not I would call that an igloo is if she is hot or not, because heartbroken ladies are usually easier to get into the sack. So, if she's cute and single, that is not an igloo she failed, but if she's an uggo, whatever sure it's an igloo.

Reassess and repent.

I just wanted to point this out, since no one seemed to read either website and I guess I'm just weird like this but,

Quote
Best of all, taste test show that consumers clearly prefer horse milk to dog and cat milk, and we know that consumers are tiring of ordinary bovine lactation.  Clearly, horse milk is no flash in the pan.

One of those websites has an awesome guide to determining which animal you've got depending on the number of teats.

Breed    Number of teats

horses   2 teats
cows    4 teats
cats      8 teats
dogs     10 teats
pigs      12-14 teats

I have printed this out on a small card and will find this very helpful the next time I have to identify an animal purely by looking at its tits.

I may have lingered a little longer on that second photo than was strictly necessary. That window has, um, a nice view.

Well, I think the University of Austin sort of started No Pants Day, kind of since before Improv Everywhere has been around. Also why would you have people not wearing pants when it is cold outside? January is the middle of winter here. I know in New York it was like -20ºC the other day, before windchill. Here in Georgia it is -9. I would freeze my arse off if I tried to nance about with no pants on in this weather. May seems much more practical.

I think the fact that everyone else is so rugged up is part of the appeal. I reckon if you had a no pants day in summer/spring here, people wouldn't even blink. They'd reckon there was some sort of musical festival or beach like event.

I really hope the participants in the respective events don't perceive any rivalry between No Pants Day and the No Pants Subway Ride, because that would be kind of the opposite of the point.
